Description
Mallet Construction has created three bespoke homes at Deanston Farm in the former farm steading. Many of the old stone walls have been retained giving the development lots of character but internally the properties are modern, spacious and bright with high quality fixtures and fittings.
The Stables sits on the east side of the steading and has accommodation mainly over the ground floor arranged in an L shape. The property has space to park at least four cars in the courtyard at the front of the house. A bright entrance hall and broad passageway gives access to all the accommodation. The fabulous living room is lit by a double height window allowing light to flood the room and also opening up fantastic views over the countryside to the Wallace Monument. To one end of the room is a wood burning stove and sitting area. In the middle of the room is space for a large dining table while a sociable island links the kitchen. The Mereway kitchen has Silestone worktops. Integrated appliances are from Smeg and include an oven, induction hob, grill, extractor fan, microwave and dishwasher.
Stairs from the kitchen lead up to a luxurious main bedroom suite which has a large shower room and a dressing room with built in storage. Double doors from the bedroom open to a bright landing which enjoys a fabulous higher level view through the main living room window.
Off the kitchen is a playroom/snug with access out to the garden. Along the corridor are three double bedrooms (two en suite). There also a bathroom, a utility room and a deep storage cupboard (ideal for coats and sports kit) on the ground floor.
Outside
The garden at The Stables wraps around the property and can be accessed from three points within the house. There is a paved terrace for garden furniture and some raised beds, with plenty of scope to further develop the garden if desired.
Location
Situated just over a mile to the west of the village of Doune is Deanston Farm which is set back from the road and surrounded by countryside in all directions.
Doune is a charming village which offers a range of services and amenities including a primary school, post office, shops and restaurant, medical practice and library. The River Teith flows through the village and passes by Doune Castle which is a popular attraction.
Surrounding the village are stunning mountainous backdrops and countryside stretching out to Blair Drummond in the south with its popular safari park, to the east to Dunblane and the Ochil Hills, and for outdoor activities the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is to the north and west.
Stirling, with its historic castle, has a selection of professional, retail and leisure facilities, along with primary and secondary schooling, and a Waitrose supermarket. In addition, there is private schooling at Ardvreck and Morrisons in Crieff as well as Dollar Academy. Fairview International School in Bridge of Allan offers co-educational independent IB schooling for 5 to 18 year olds. Dunblane and Bridge of Allan both have popular local services, with the latter being the home to Stirling University with a sports centre and the MacRobert Arts Centre with theatre and cinema.
Accessibility to and from Deanston is excellent. The M9 motorway is only 7 miles to the east, offering strong commuting links to Glasgow, Edinburgh or Perth. Broadband availability and predicted speed
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
