It is under half a mile walking distance of Bath Spa railway station and local amenities on Widcombe High Street. Of course a wider range of shopping facilities are just a further short walk across the river in the nearby city centre.

Widcombe is a highly convenient location within close proximity of some of Bath's finest schools which include both excellent state and private in King Edwards, the Royal High School, Prior Park College, Kingswood and Paragon. The University of Bath is also situated on this side of the City.
