A wider range of amenities, leisure facilities and a primary school are available in nearby Tattenhall (about 3.5 miles). It is a very popular village with a good range of amenities to include a general store with post office, pharmacy, restaurants, independent shops and a doctor's surgery.

There are several highly-regarded schools in the area including Bishop Heber High School (about 8 miles) and Abbey Gate College (about 6 miles) as well as King's and Queen's in Chester, for which there are currently school bus pick-up points on the A41.

Chester (about 9 miles) offers an excellent range of retail, commercial and leisure facilities as well as a direct rail link to London (approx 2 hours). The A41 allows for excellent access to the regional motorway network and airports.
