noir by david cliff – HAVE YOU DREAMT OF BARN LIVING ?

I’ve had the privilege of looking after Snooks Barn three times now over the last 30 years and I never ever get bored of coming here, built in the 17th century with more recent additions it’s a truly unique home and what our ‘noir’ brand was designed for.

Point one, it’s in Farley Hill and this is one of my very favourite places to ever live for so many reasons, to be this close to everything yet have all the peace and quiet of rural life is just dreamy and something I never took for granted.

Point two, the fresh air and walks here are stunning, through the woods, across open fields and down by the river, the kids and dogs will love it as much as you do, and it’ll only be when you leave that you realise how lucky you have been to experience it.

Then you have Snooks Barn itself, what could be better and more fitting than to be in a location like this and in your very own HUGE barn... this could be enough said, but I’ll go on.

I’ll try and summarise this one or you'll be reading a book !

Let me start by just throwing 4000 sq. ft out there, this place is big and I must dive straight to the main, vast reception space that gives you the most incredible living room and dining room, open plan with a stunning fireplace offering some separation. To give you some idea of scale, this space extends to appx 45 feet in length, ridiculous and amazing in equal measure.

The double height void is insane, you’ll find yourself just standing and staring upwards to take this all in, truly breathtaking.

The exposed timbers are a lot to take in and then also look up to the mezz floor style library which would allow you to look down on the space as you greet guests, you can see I’ve dreamt about this but hey.

The floor plan will explain and show the flexibility of the other ground floor reception spaces and ensuite bedrooms, you really can adapt and change as life changes. Ultimately there is room to do pretty much live however you wish. The inclusion of the immense workshop and studio then simply increases the options here.

To the first-floor and we have three further bedrooms, two of which have the most incredible exposed timbers, the kind of rooms that make memories for children, just beautiful. The master suite is crazy, it’s like it has its’ own wing with a vast bedroom area and an ensuite bathroom you could hold a party in! The walk-in dressing room then completes things so so well and truly gives all you need.
Externally you have a plot that does wrap itself around the barn, a long frontage and driveway parking to the front & side and an enclosed south facing garden to the rear with a large terrace area for relaxing and entertaining. Each wing of the barn creates a lovely backdrop to look back on whilst also sheltering you from the elements, all in all a lovely part of this home.

So, this is Snooks Barn, in about as few words as I could attempt, the reality is that you will never get to fully understand how this incredible home could work for you until you join us for a private tour.

At last...... In 2009 after 12 months of planning one of Wokingham’s longest serving and most respected estate agents returned home to roost. From stunning offices in the centre of Wokingham the david cliff agency opened its doors with a carefully selected team of property professionals who were passionate about property. With an enviable wealth of experience in the local market, the team were determined to provide a level of service and presentation not yet achieved in this area and the growing number of distinctive pink boards would suggest that they are achieving their goal.
