Purchasers Restrictions And Obligations - The sale of the plots are on a self build/custom build basis meaning those who develop the plots will need to reside in them as their sole and permanent residence. Successful purchasers will have six months to obtain detailed planning permission and a further 18 months to complete the building works. Purchasers will be required to demonstrate that they are able to finance the build process through to completion.

In order to acquire a plot, potential purchasers must satisfy one or more of the following local connection criteria:
- They were born in Stratford upon Avon District,
- Currently living in Stratford upon Avon District for at least and has done so for at least the last 12 months
- Used to live in Stratford upon Avon District for not less than 3 years
- Currently working in Stratford upon Avon District and has done so for at least the past 12 months for not less than 16 hours per week on average
- Currently have a close family member (father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter) living and having their sole and permanent residence in Stratford upon Avon District and who has done so for not less than 3 years
- A person inheriting the Plot PROVIDED THAT where a person inherits the Dwelling they shall be obliged to follow the requirements for future disposal and occupancy set out in this Schedule where they do not intend to occupy the Dwelling as their sole and permanent residence and the Dwelling shall only be occupied in accordance with the provisions of this Schedule.
