I moved here nearly six years ago and it has been a wonderful home. I love living in a country environment, with the golf course on the doorstep and excellent walks in the surrounding countryside. Yet it is not far from the village with its two good local primary schools and the Sackville independent secondary school as well as a village hall that offers a variety of activities.
There are two cafes and three pubs in the vicinity as well as the grade II Listed Hilden Manor restaurant, a convenience store, post office and two gift shops. While for sporting enthusiasts, in addition to the prestigious Nizels Golf and Country Club, there are the Hildenborough cricket and tennis clubs, Hildenborough Athletic football club as well as the Hilden golf centre and gym plus an excellent equestrian centre.
While some trains from Hildenborough station can whisk you to London fairly quickly, more regular fast trains go from nearby Sevenoaks. This vibrant town also includes high street stores, independent shops restaurants, bars and local attractions such as Knole House and Park, while the A21, M25, M23 and M20 are easily accessible.
