THE PROPERTY
Tucked away in a fabulous and most peaceful location on the outskirts of the charming hamlet of Swyre, 2 Green Barton is a most impressive linked attached split-level home within walking distance of World Heritage Jurassic coast.
Built in 1986, first glimpses of this wonderful property are most impressive, constructed of part natural stone under a slate roof.
On first entering the property, which is approached by pretty stone steps, there is a real sense of charm and space, with a good size boot room and dining room/studio room which could be put to a number of uses but is currently used as an artist's studio. Also on this floor is a study/nursery bedroom, separate WC, and a beautiful large double bedroom with en suite shower room and high vaulted ceilings.
From the ground floor, stairs lead down to a fabulous sitting room perfectly proportioned with stripped wooden flooring and a central fireplace and wood burning stove. Like many rooms in the house there are stunning views over the gardens and unspoilt countryside. Alongside the sitting room is a lovely family country style kitchen incorporating a number of most attractive wall and base units, a Rayburn oven, and plenty of room for a dining/kitchen table. There is also direct access to the garden and paved terrace, ideal for al fresco dining.
On the first floor are two beautiful bedrooms both with Velux windows and boasting stunning views. You can almost smell the sea and listen to the wonderful peaceful countryside noises. There are steps leading up to another very good size double bedroom and family bathroom.
The property has been very well looked after by the present owners but yet totally untainted by inappropriate modernisation.
To the rear of the property there is a wooden lean-to ideal for pets and storage and a fantastic, paved terrace. A gravel path meanders down the garden with a lawned area to either side. There is huge potential to incorporate a garden office at the bottom of the garden which could take full advantage of the views. There is also plenty of parking for two or three cars and a double garage.
All in all, this is a truly fabulous property in an idyllic, yet very convenient location.

The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
