Situation
Central Edgware is home to a wide range of shops, inside The Broadwalk Centre with a number of well known names and a large Sainsbury’s superstore. You will also find restaurants for dining out serving cuisine from around the world and more nearby in the local areas of Stanmore and Mill Hill.
Brent Cross is less than five miles away and is one of London’s prime shopping centres with an impressive list of stores and an excellent selection of cafés and restaurants.
On the edge of London, there are plenty of parks and open countryside to enjoy. Pure Gym is just around the corner in Station Road. You’ll find tennis and swimming at Hatch End or visit the local Canons Sport Centre with fitness and dance classes and an indoor pool. There is a local Park Run in Canons Park every Saturday at 9am.
Being well connected is important wherever you choose to live, for those living in Edgware that is not a problem. The public transport hub for the area has an underground station and bus station located a short walk from Alice Court.
Northern line services from Edgware station take you either into the West End or the City in similar times, passing through King’s Cross/St Pancras for Eurostar services, as the two branches go their own way at Camden Town. It links to the Elizabeth Line at Tottenham Court Road and Moorgate. The Jubilee line station at Canons Park provides services whisking you into the West End in 38 minutes. Mill Hill (National Rail) station is a short bus ride away, with trains into London St Pancras for Eurostar for services to Europe.
If you are driving there are direct road links north or south towards the centre of London as Edgware sits astride the A5. The M1, A1, A406 North Circular Road and M25 are all just a short distance from Alice Court.
For those who prefer to practise their swing with numerous golf clubs in the area including those at Stanmore, Mill Hill, Finchley and Hartsbourne.
For aviation enthusiasts there is the Hendon Royal Air Force Museum to visit. The Wembley Stadium complex is less than five miles south of Alice Court, with world-class sporting events at the Stadium and headline concerts or live acts at Wembley Stadium and Arena.

Broadband availability and predicted speed
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on October 14, 2024
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area
