This seaside town began as a purposely-built resort in 1846 and to this day retains its Victorian charm and character, remaining a popular holiday destination for visitors of all ages.
Families can enjoy activities such as Crazy Golf, Pitch-and-Putt, and the Oasis Leisure Centre, or perhaps spend the day walking around the tranquil Esplanade Gardens, enjoying the views and basking in the sunshine, Hunstanton has something for everyone. The town’s array of gardens are especially charming during the spring and summer months, and you can follow a self-guided Horticultural Trail to make sure you experience them all.
Take a trip to Old Hunstanton, located just a short walk away, to experience a much quieter & relaxed village atmosphere. Decorated with carstone built cottage, traditional quaint British pubs and a slower pace of life.

Take a trip to the past, and visit the ruins of St Edmund’s Chapel, which dates back to 1272 and celebrates the apparent visit by St. Edmund in 855, which can be seen can be seen on the top of the cliffs near the Lighthouse, a another landmark worth a visit. Beacons or lantern lights have been warning shipping of dangerous sandbanks in the Wash for many hundreds of years, and the first Lighthouse was built at Hunstanton in 1666. The current Lighthouse dates back to 1844.
The Pier itself was built in 1870, and is a vital stop-off point when walking along the beaches of Sunny Hunny.
