This River Pod was built in 2019 and has a floating system made from HDPE, which is lightweight yet super-strong. It is recycled and super buoyant. It comes with a 125-year guarantee. Oxygen, salt and water do not affect HDPE; it is not affected by the ravages of time. It does not need to be painted or anti-fouled. The River Pod floatation system will never need to be removed from the water for maintenance or cleaning, unlike all other boat hulls. HDPE offers zero corrosion and thus, zero maintenance.
This River Pod has recycled all-round insulation; this includes 100mm in the floor, 125mm in the walls and 300mm in the ceiling. This River Pod also has heat-retaining double glazed windows and doors. This houseboat is fully insulated, keeping you cosy in the winter months and cool in the summer months!
