The village is said to have a warm community spirit and the facilities include an annual village fete and monthly cinema that is held in the village hall on a Saturday night where a number of other community orientated activities are held. Most of the aforementioned amenities are between a 3 to a little over a 5 minute walk.
The car port is conveniently the first in the row and will be to your right hand side when you enter the development, and whilst not a garage it could be argued is likely to be used more because of the ease of simply just driving in and reversing out. There is a parking space in front of the car port so 2 cars in tandem plus visitor parking.
Number 6 is a short stroll into the heart of the development and is ideally set in the far corner. There is direct access to the courtyard garden that is a reasonable size in itself with a timber garden shed.
From the hall is a useful study and a cloak room behind which is a substantial sized utility room that opens onto the courtyard garden for drying. There are floor standing units and space for a washing machine and dryer underneath.
Returning to the hall and you will find turning stairs to the first floor living accommodation and a double wardrobe. Steps then lead down into the impressive living suite/Family room which has seen some serious alterations since our sellers moved in. The kitchen surfaces were replaced with granite which the under unit lighting really brings to life and the timber fronts much more recently in 2022. There is a fan assisted "Neff" double oven, an induction hob, a wine cooler that was installed only last year and a full size integrated dish washer the year before. Add to that the recess which has been creatively tailored to accommodate the Samsung American Fridge Freezer that has its own water dispenser and is included in the sale.
Gone is the lean to conservatory and now you have this beautiful sun lounge extension that has been constructed from steel and brick, with, to facilitate the substantial glass and steel sided terrace from the living room above. Triple glazed full width Internorm, sliding patio doors open onto the sizeable canal side terrace.
The first floor landing now features shelving where the door to the bathroom used to be. Double glazed doors open from here into the living room which we have to say is impressive – a substantial L shaped reception room offering an elevated outlook over the Shropshire Union Canal and the Countryside which we believe looks just as beautiful in the snow. And from here triple glazed sliding patio doors open onto the terrace that has been finished with glazed sides, steel handrails and supports, along with full width motorised awning.
The master bedroom is also found on the first floor and is the ideal height to enjoy the canal and countryside in the mornings through the full height picture window and we thought that the pitched ceiling adds some character to this lovely bedroom. The bathroom was replaced with this white three piece suite that comprises of a deep panelled bath that features a chrome waterfall mixer tap and retractable hand shower attachment sunken into the bath surface. There is also a drench shower and screen set into the tiling. A vanity unit finished to a white brick effect with slate tiled surfaces runs the full window side and this is where the sink has been set.
The top floor is dedicated to the second bedroom and it is fair to describe it as one big room! Bedroom two starts with a study area below one of the two Skylight windows. Next comes the luxury wet room which was converted from a shower room in 2022 and it looks amazing! The tiling is a dark slate and was definitely the right choice. This contemporary shower room features a thermostatic shower with a hand shower attachment set into the tiling that runs off the combi boiler. A matching wall hung basin with black mixer tap and a low level WC with water saving options make up the suite. Finishing the wet room is an illuminated mirror, a ladder style radiator and recessed lighting that brings out the detail in the tiling.
Returning to the bedroom and there is one large built in wardrobe running the full width of the wall, about the size of two doubles and with multiple sliding mirrored doors. in addition to that is the extensive eaves storage and we think the exposed beams, the pendant lighting and wood effect cherry flooring makes this bedroom a special one.
The terraces speak for themselves and if you are fortunate to view on a sunny day then we would aniticipate an instant attraction. This is one of the best in the development and arguably the whole of the village. The lowermost of the two is a good size and enjoys a slightly elevated outlook over the canal and enough to enjoy the countryside over the hedging. There is plenty of space here for a suite that might include loungers and a dining table? This terrace has been laid to a beautiful Indian stone which has been replicated in the steps that lead down to the waterside and throughout that part too. A matching path runs along the side and front courtyard garden.
The other terrace has been finished with reclaimed rubberised tiles and there is plenty of space here for a large corner sofa, coffee table and small café type table and chairs.
With number 6 you have something special, very special to be more exact and something you are going to find very difficult if not impossible to find anywhere else around the City and surroundings. This is a property you really have to see and the sooner the better because it is unlikely to be on the market for long.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on December 20, 2021
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on January 5, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on May 14, 2011 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
