Situation
Spinningdale is situated in the west Renfrewshire village of Lochwinnoch. A pleasant rural village set on the edge of Castle Semple Loch.

The house is situated on the western edge of the main street of Lochwinnoch close to the River Calder which flows into Castle Semple Loch.

The centre of the village is a relatively short (0.2 mile) level walk where there are local shops, cafes and welcoming village and country pubs together with a good range of amenities that comfortably cater for everyday needs and requirements.

Primary schooling is available in the village of Lochwinnoch, with secondary schooling in both the state and private sectors in the district.

The independent St Columba’s school in Kilmacolm (8.2 miles) has an enviable record of academic achievement with both junior and senior schools.

The area is well served by supermarkets, some of the villages have co-op mini stores and there are larger Morrisons & Tesco stores within a few miles.

A complete range of professional services, higher education, cultural and retail are all available in Glasgow city some 16.5 miles to the east.

The A737 is the main trunk route to and from Glasgow Airport and the city as well as south to Prestwick Airport and the Ayrshire coastline.

Lochwinnoch has a mainline railway station (0.75 miles) with a frequent service to and from Glasgow city. Glasgow airport is about 9.5 miles to the east and there is a convenient access to the A737 at Lochwinnoch Roadhead about on/off slip to the A737, about 1.1 miles to the east of Spinningdale. The A737 is the main arterial road route connecting with Ayrshire, the M8 motorway corridor, central Scotland and beyond.

Leisure services and facilities are wide and varied. Bowfield Country Club and Spa is about 4 miles to the east, and there is a David Lloyd Health and Racquets Centre at Renfrew. The village of Houston is home to Strathgryffe Tennis & Squash Club which with its 4 indoor and 6 outdoor tennis courts makes it one of the best racquet centres in Scotland.

Inland sailing and rowing is available on Castle Semple Loch and the Firth of Clyde has a number of marinas with connected marine and chandlery services and providing quick access to some of the most scenic coastal sailing in Europe.

Castle Semple also lies within the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, a ranger protected wildlife, RSPB and outdoor facility with interesting walks, bird sanctuary and a link with the Sustrans cycle path and walkway which connects to many other parts of central Scotland.

As with many parts of Scotland one is never too far from a golf course and Spinningdale is no exception. There is an 18 hole course in Lochwinnoch and no less than 2 quality 18 hole courses in Bridge of Weir, and a fine heathland course at Kilmacolm.

Travel Directions
From Glasgow city centre proceed west on the M8 motorway. After 9 miles take junction 29 (A737) following signs Lochwinnoch, Kilbirnie, Largs on the A760. The business model of Estate Agency and Lettings distribution has changed, no longer do people pour over local papers searching for their dream home; no longer do they need to look in estate agents' windows or queue to discuss search criteria with estate agency or lettings receptionists. In recognising this, we have changed too, we have evolved to develop an efficient business model which pro-actively distributes property globally via our well managed database and digitally via the world wide web. Good systems are important to us, however, Estate & Lettings Agency is a people business, our people have been carefully selected for their scope of property and customer interfacing expertise. We recruit intelligent, clear thinking and articulate property professionals. The team has an average of 20 years’ experience in the industry and we are proud to have been behind some of the most high profile and often complex sales and property asset management deals in the West of Scotland. At Robb Residential we can’t say we are the largest firm, we’re not. At Robb Residential, we can’t say we are the smallest firm; we’re not. Our point of difference lies in our people and in the delivery of service excellence. The Robb Residential team owns and shares in its commitment to delivering that service excellence, and so what we can say with a measure of assured confidence is that we will be the best.
