JOINT AGENCY – two (occasionally more) agents are instructed.  They work in conjunction and share the commission on completion.  The rate is usually higher than the sole agency. MULTI AGENCY – two (or occasionally more) agents are instructed.  They work in competition and only the agent who sells receives a commission on completion.  Again this is usually at a higher rate then sole agency (but not always).
