Location
Bridstow is a small village around two miles from Ross-on-Wye's town centre. This offers an assortment of shops, independently owned boutiques, a range of restaurants, welcoming pubs, various leisure facilities, plus a network of country and riverside walks.
The village has a lovely community; it contains a village hall - which acts as a headquarters for various groups such as the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and the WI, and various activities are also staged there, such as barn dances and whist evenings. There is also a primary school that carries a 'Good' Ofsted rating, and this venue is used as a rehearsal space for a local women's choir, the Border Belles. In terms of secondary education, Ross offers John Kyrle High School. It is worth noting that private schooling options are found in the nearby towns of Hereford and Monmouth.
Brock Cottage is set just off a quiet country lane but is a short drive (less than one mile) from the A49, the main road which connects Ross-on-Wye with Hereford. At Ross-on-Wye, motorists can join the A40 as well as the M50.

The home at a glance
Brock Cottage would ideally suit someone looking for a quiet and serene home in the countryside. The gates leading to the development are set off a single-track lane and the peaceful communal grounds - which include a variety of mature trees and a wildlife pond - set a charming first impression.
A stone path leads past Brock Cottage's front garden to the main entrance, which is sheltered beneath a canopied porch. The front door opens into a reception hall, and a fitted kitchen sits on the left-hand side. This space overlooks the pleasant front garden and features a timbered ceiling plus a tiled floor. A range of base and wall-mounted units give ample storage space and there is also a sink with a mixer tap, a fan oven, a ceramic hob, an extractor hood and space and plumbing for a washing machine.
Beyond the kitchen, there is a sitting room which features a timbered ceiling, a gas fireplace, and an under-stair cupboard which offers a wealth of storage space.  A window and glass door frame the attractive and low-maintenance rear garden, which is beautified by the far-reaching countryside. At the bottom of the garden, there is a gate which leads out to a path that winds around the idyllic community.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both of which showcase elevated views over the pastoral surroundings. Of these, the master bedroom overlooks a private fishing lake and offers an en-suite bathroom, which contains a bath with a shower overhead, a WC, a basin and a mirror-fronted cabinet.
The second bedroom, which offers enough space for a double bed, enjoys a panoramic view across the bordering hillsides and village. Next door, there is a shower room, which includes a walk-in corner shower, a basin, a WC and a cupboard which houses the combi-boiler.
