Steps lead up to the lawn and a stepping stone path leads to the bottom of the garden where there is a potting shed, a tool shed and further storage. The garden includes a variety of fruit trees including mulberry, damson, apple, pear, and quince.

Long Buckby village has a selection of shops including two supermarkets, a chemist, butchers, post office and artisan bakery. There is also a library, a GP practice, two dental practices, and three public houses as well as infant and junior schooling in the village or within the neighbouring villages of West Haddon, East Haddon and Guilsborough.
