To the West is the attractive village of Wisborough Green. Billingshurst also benefits from a mainline station and has a regular service to London Victoria. The A29 is approximately a mile which links to the A24 and the A23. The South Coast is approximately 16 miles driving distance. London Gatwick Airport is approximately a 20 minute drive away. Of equestrian interest there is excellent local hacking on country lanes and a number of good bridlepaths across the River Arun. Hacking is also available on both the beach and the South Downs which are an easy box drive away. Coombelands at Pulborough is nearby where the cross country fences and gallops can be hired for schooling and where regular one day events and hunter trials take place during the season. Access to a number of show centres is easily available and these include Felbridge, Brendon and Oldencraig. The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead and The South of England Showground at Ardingly are within easy reach. Knepp Castle Polo Club is within convenient reach and Hurtwood Park and Cowdray Park are readily accessible. There is racing at Goodwood, Lingfield, Plumpton, Brighton and Fontwell and a point to point course at Parham. Hunting locally is with The Chiddingfold, Leconfield and Cowdray Foxhounds.
