I bought the property twenty-four years ago and it was a combination of this very scenic edge of village location and the size and sheer potential of the house itself that sold it to me. I wanted a lovely big family home for my children to grow up in, in a place where we could enjoy countryside living, but ease of access to all the things needed on a day-to-day basis, and this place ticked all of those boxes.

It was very rundown when I came here, but over time I've extended and updated the main house, and I converted a number of outbuildings to create self-contained accommodation, which meant that the children were able to have their own space as they got that bit older. However, since they flew the nest I've been able to establish a thriving B&B business, which brings in a nice little income. It's been a roaring success, but the if the new owners didn't want to continue with it, the property could be turned back into a family home, ideal for multi-generational living or they could turn some of the rooms into a home office. The possibilities are endless.
